Eyelash Extensions

Spray Tans

Hair length should be 1/4" to 1/2" or longer. Please do not tan 24-48 hours before or after waxing. -Waxing is not recommended if you are on Accutane, blood thinners, are pregnant or have had any recent injectable drug or supplement.

Exfoliate before your session to remove dead, dry skin cells. (I do offer body scrub treatments if desired) This allows the bronzing spray to absorb into fresh, clean skin. Your tan will not only be more even, but will last longer as well. Typical time is 5-7 days but can last longer with following these suggestions. We suggest using a light exfoliating and moisturizing body scrub in your morning shower. Try to avoid bar soaps or in-shower moisturizers, which could interfere with the bronzing process and bring about that dreaded “orange” color.

Skip the lotion and makeup. While moisturizing your skin in the days following your tanning session can make it last longer, applying moisturizers and lotions can interfere with the bronzing spray absorbing into your skin. If you do wear makeup the day of your tan, remove it before entering. Also, use deodorant sparingly. Believe it or not, it could interact with the spray and turn your armpits a not-so-fab shade of green.

Wear lose-fitting, dark clothing to your session. Also, be sure to remove all jewelry and leave it off until your tan is set. This will prevent your clothes and jewelry from rubbing against your skin and smudging your tan or your clothing being stained by the tanning spray.

What exactly are lash extensions?

Lash extensions are applied one by one to your natural lashes to extend, darken and add volume. They will look very similar to your natural lashes, but better!

What steps should you take before and after having them applied?

Actually, you don't have to do anything! We prefer for you to come to your lash appointment makeup free, and ready to relax. That's about it!

How long do they last?

Medical grade, formaldehyde-free extension glue is meant to last four-to-six weeks. Typically, the natural lash will grow out and shed the extension before the glue gives out. We like to see clients every two to three weeks to reapply lashes that have grown out and give the lash line a thorough cleaning.

Can you wear mascara or eye makeup while you have lash extensions? If so, can you use makeup remover?

You can, but less is best. Mascara that is specifically formulated for lash extensions can be applied to the tips of the extensions. Oil-free eye makeup remover should be used to remove any makeup, like the Eminence Organics Herbal Eye makeup remover. Eye shadow and eyeliner can also be applied as long as it is oil-free and removed daily.

Can you use a lash curler?

No need! The extensions curl on their own.

Can you do things like go swimming, take a shower or go to the gym?

Yes, you can do all these things, but proceed with caution. It is recommended you wait 24-hours after application before you get the lashes wet, and 48-hours before exposing them to steam or saunas.

Can extensions cause damage to your natural lashes?

Damage only occurs if the lashes are not applied properly or you pull or tug them out yourself. It's important that you have them applied by a reputable lash artist.

What are the do’s and don’ts while wearing them?

Only use oil-free products; avoid pulling or tugging; keep the lashes clean and gently comb through them with a spoolie if they crisscross at all. And no waterproof makeup around the eye area.

How are extensions removed?

They grow out naturally and gradually, but if you decide that you don't want the remaining lashes, see your lash artist for a removal. We will take them off easily without damaging your lashes.
